Fall In Love With Service

Falling in love with customer service is easy. Helping someone find a solution to a problem leaves us going home satisfied and gives us a sound night's sleep. When you provide great service, your customers become so much more than that.

What Customer Service Means to Us

For us, customer service means treating everyone like a good friend. Think back to the days of Mr. Rogers, the sentiment of putting on a warm sweater and inviting anyone in to be your neighbor. It’s about being personal, letting personalities shine through and being nice and sweet to anyone.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to customer service, each person gets to exhibit what makes them special and resolve issues with a smile. Once you start treating everyone as your friend, it’s easy to fall head-over-heels for customer service.

Why It’s Easy to Fall in Love

Great customer service really does help us sleep better at night (or during the day if we were working overnight to keep the lines open 24/7). When you fall in love with service, it affects everyone around you. It’s the same as showing up to work with a smile on your face and a sparkle in your eye.

It’s contagious, but in a good way, and there’s no vaccine for it. Pretty soon your customers will know you as the people they want to interact with, even if it’s just to say “hello.” That’s the dream.

The Art of Giving

Beyond treating everyone like a friend, customer service is about giving. Giving of your time, your energy, and your attention. Customers want to be heard and treated with respect. They want to hear personality and not a robot.

When it comes to customer service if you are genuinely in love with it you’ll know the importance of giving. Going beyond just answering their call, actually understanding their needs and finding ways to provide more than what was asked. It’s an art, not a science. It comes from the heart, and not the head. Trust your gut, and you’ll find a balance that means you’ve mastered the art of giving.

Be Friends and Grow Your Business

If you, your partners, and your team are in love with being personal and showing your personality, then just imagine what your business will look like! Personability is the magic factor that takes a solid business to a wildly successful one. Colors are a little brighter and the world becomes your play place.
