A big part of A Better Answer's culture is giving back to the community. We value our charities and their causes, which is why we encourage each of our employees to support them in any way possible. Bikers Against Child Abuse - Since 2015

Our Fall Family Festival is always a great time for A Better Answer’s staff, friends and families. We use this time together to do something special for others as well. In 2016, we were so honored to present $5,736 (and that amount increases annually) — collectively from our Plano, Hurst and Houston locations — to Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA)!

BACA works to provide a safer environment for abused children and empower them not be fearful of the world in which they live. According to their mission statement, BACA stands at the ready to lend support to and work with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. Since 2015, many bikers from BACA join us annually at the Fall Family Festival to accept the gift and spend time educating everyone in attendance about the organization and their mission.

Habitat for Humanity - Since 2014

Habitat is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all, offering a hand up, not a hand out.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates safe, decent houses with the help of the homeowners (Homeowner Families). Habitat houses are sold to Homeowner Families at no profit, financed on a no interest loan. The Homeowner Families’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build and repair more Habitat houses.

Every year, A Better Answer uses the money raised to donate water to the crews and volunteers building the houses and working the job sites. Follow the link to learn more about the South Collin County branch of Habitat for Humanity.

Dollars for Denim - Since 2015

We’re so grateful for our employees who participate in our year-round “Dollars for Denim” program which raises money for this great organization. The “Dollars for Denim” program encourages employees to donate a dollar in exchange for wearing jeans to work for the day. We all love to be comfortable on a daily basis, so in addition to our usual casual Fridays, this great incentive gives a small donation to contribute to something much bigger!

All proceeds from “Dollars for Denim” are donated to alternating charities like BACA and Habitat for Humanity.

In-Sync Exotics

In-Sync Exotics is a nonprofit animal sanctuary dedicated to the rescue of neglected, abused and unwanted exotic felines, as well as educating the public on the animals in their care and the realities of captive exotic cats through outreach programs and tours of their facility. A Better Answer donates our interactive phone menu services so the volunteers can spend more time doing what they do best: taking care of big cats!
